Farmer Training - Singida ‘24

In partnership with one of Tanzania’s largest oil mills; Mt. Meru Millers, we organized a comprehensive farmer training program that aimed to reach 12,000 farmers across 20 villages in the Singida region. Trainers from the Sokoine University of Agriculture and TARI provided practical education to 527 lead farmers on:

  • Pre- and Post-Harvest Management

  • Basic Sunflower Agronomy

  • Soil Health

  • Common Misconceptions about Sunflower Cultivation

These lead trainers will go on to each train 20 additional farmers using a ‘training of trainers’ model.

This hands-on training helped us understand the challenges faced by smallholder farmers and gather insights to better serve our clients.
